Description
Progynova 2mg contains estradiol valerate (2 mg per tablet), a synthetic form of the female hormone estrogen. It is used as a form of hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
Primary Uses
• Menopause Symptoms: Relieves hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, itching, and mood changes caused by declining natural estrogen.
• Estrogen Deficiency: Treats low estrogen levels due to surgical removal of the ovaries or other conditions.
• Osteoporosis Prevention: Helps maintain bone density and lowers the risk of fractures in postmenopausal women.
• Fertility & IVF Support: Frequently prescribed to help thicken and support the uterine lining during frozen embryo transfer cycles.
Dosage & Administration
• Standard Dose: Typically 1 tablet taken orally once daily, swallowed whole with water (with or without food), preferably at the same time each day.
• Cycle Management: Depending on whether your uterus is intact, a progestogen may need to be added for part of the cycle, or taken continuously as prescribed by your doctor.
• Note: Progynova is not a contraceptive
