Description
Refucil 500mg contains Griseofulvin BP, an oral antifungal medication manufactured by Reals Pharmaceutical used to treat stubborn fungal infections of the skin, hair, and nails (dermatophytes).
Uses
• Scalp ringworm (Tinea capitis)
• Body and groin ringworm (Tinea corporis, Tinea cruris)
• Athlete’s foot (Tinea pedis)
• Nail fungal infections (Onychomycosis)
How It Works
• It stops fungi from growing and multiplying by interrupting cell division.
• It binds to newly forming keratin in the skin, hair, and nails to build resistance against future fungal spread.
Dosage & Administration
• Adult dose: Typically 500 mg to 1,000 mg daily taken as a single dose or divided doses.
• How to take: Swallow tablets whole with a full glass of water.
• With food: Take it immediately after a meal or with fatty foods (like milk) to boost absorption and lower stomach upset.
• Duration: Treatment lasts at least 2 to 4 weeks for skin or hair, and anywhere from 6 to 12 months for fingernails or toenails as new tissue grows out
