Description
Cerumol Ear Drops are an over-the-counter oil-based treatment used to soften, loosen, and remove stubborn earwax blockages or to prepare the ear canal before medical syringing.
How to Use
• Position: Lie or sit down, then tilt your head to the side with the affected ear facing up.
• Application: Use the dropper to place 5 drops into the ear canal. Do not push the dropper inside the ear.
• Hold: Keep your head tilted for a few minutes so the liquid reaches the eardrum.
• Cotton Wool: Optionally place a small, loose cotton wool pad (moistened with a drop of Cerumol or smeared with petroleum jelly) at the entrance of the ear to keep the liquid in. Remove it after one hour or the next morning.
• Frequency: Repeat twice a day for up to 3 days. Do not use for longer than 3 days without consulting a doctor.
Important Safety Warnings
• Do not use if you have a perforated eardrum, an ear infection, or a sore, inflamed, or bleeding ear canal.
• Allergies: Check the ingredients carefully—some formulations contain peanut oil (arachis oil) or chemical components like turpentine oil and chlorocresol. Avoid if you are allergic to peanuts or soy.
• Children and Pregnancy: Treatment for young children (under 5 years) or use during pregnancy/breastfeeding should be done under medical supervision.
• No Objects: Never insert cotton buds or solid objects into the ear canal, as they push wax deeper.
• Swallowing: Do not swallow the drops; seek immediate medical help if accidentally ingested
