Description
Flumox 250mg/5ml is a prescription antibiotic oral suspension containing a combination of amoxicillin (125mg) and flucloxacillin (125mg) per 5ml dose.
What It Is Used For
Flumox treats a wide range of susceptible bacterial infections, including:
• Respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia)
• Ear, nose, and throat (ENT) infections (tonsillitis, otitis media, sinusitis)
• Skin and soft-tissue infections (boils, cellulitis)
• Genitourinary and gastrointestinal infections
Note: It does not treat viral infections like the common cold or flu.
Preparation and Storage
• Reconstitution: It is supplied as a dry powder in a 100ml bottle. To prepare, shake the bottle to loosen the powder, add water up to the indicated mark, and shake well.
• Storage: Once mixed with water, the suspension must be stored in the refrigerator and used within 10 days. Always shake well before each dose
