Description
Flumox 500mg is a combination prescription antibiotic containing 250 mg of amoxicillin and 250 mg of flucloxacillin per capsule.
What It Is Used For
Flumox treats bacterial infections, including:
• Respiratory infections: Bronchitis, pneumonia
• Ear, nose, and throat (ENT) infections: Tonsillitis, pharyngitis, sinusitis, otitis media
• Skin and soft tissue infections: Cellulitis, boils, abscesses, and wound infections
• Genitourinary infections: Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
• Dental infections and post-surgery protection
Dosage and Administration
• Adults: Typically 1 capsule every 8 hours (or as prescribed by a doctor).
• How to take: Best taken on an empty stomach (about 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals).
• Full course: Complete the entire prescribed course even if you feel better to prevent the infection from returning or developing antibiotic resistance
