Glycerin Suppositories help to stimulate bowel movement .Glycerin Suppositories work by encouraging muscles around your back passage to contract, helping you to go to the toilet. Unless recommended by a doctor, they should not be taken during pregnancy or breast-feeding.
WHAT IS CONSTIPATION:
It’s likely to be constipation if:
You have not had a poo at least 3 times in a week
The poo is often difficult to push out and larger than usual
The poo is often dry, hard or lumpy
WHAT CAUSES CONSTPATION :
Constipation has many possible causes. Sometimes there is no obvious reason. The most common causes include:
- Not eating enough fibre – such as fruit, vegetables and cereals
- Not drinking enough fluids
- Not moving enough, or spending long periods of time sitting
- Often ignoring the urge to go to the toilet
- Rarely constipation may be caused by a medical condition.
Recommended dose and dosage schedule
One suppository as required.
The suppository should be dipped in water before insertion.
